From a rugged railroad town to the busiest transportation hub in the world, you will learn about the visionary leaders and events that influenced the trajectory of Atlanta’s economic growth and social status in the world.
We’ll share strategies city officials used to secure major events from the 1895 Cotton States Exhibition to the 1996 Summer Olympics to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Learn how major players in industry, sports, music, and film have driven business development in Atlanta.
Learn how boosterism and successful marketing campaigns attracted entrepreneurs and businesses to the city throughout her history. We’ll share how higher education institutions impact Atlanta’s reputation and how historic Black colleges and universities influenced the Civil Rights Movement and the success of the Black business community.
We’ll uncover these and many other inspiring stories during this fascinating bicycle adventure. This 3-hour 10-mile tour visits The King Historic District, Downtown, Centennial Olympic Park, Midtown, and the Atlanta Beltline.
