History Along the Ashley River
This unique House and Garden Tour takes you to all three plantations along the Ashley River. The first stop is Drayton Hall, the oldest unrestored plantation house in America still open to the public, which has survived 275 years of pestilence, war and natural disasters. Middleton Place, built in 1755, is home to America's oldest landscaped gardens. Here you will enjoy a true southern lunch at the Middleton Restaurant. Arriving at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens you will hop aboard the Nature Train as a naturalist takes you on a tour of the wetlands, lakes, forest and marsh lands. You just might spot turtles, egrets, herons or even alligators in their natural habitats. Upon your return to town you will have time for shopping along historic King Street and in the popular City Market.Tour Time: Between 10 am - 3 pm
