FAM #4 - Louisiana Classics - Tours, Tastes & Tempos

You’ll fly into Lafayette Regional Airport, where you will arrive at the geographical center of Louisiana’s Cajun Country. You will be immersed in the thriving Cajun culture through indigenous music, food, and dancing. From Lafayette, you’ll head to scenic Lake Martin, then cross the 18-mile elevated bridge over the Atchafalaya Basin, America’s largest river swamp. In Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s state capital, visit the USA’s tallest State Capitol building and experience the city’s interesting museums, universities, largest plantation home, and outstanding views of the Mississippi River. One hour east is the beautiful Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, a natural choice for families, foodies, nature lovers and art enthusiasts. Enjoy a day filled with brews, brunch and outdoor scenery. Then, cross the longest bridge in the world over water before your tour ends in New Orleans, where you’ll spend three fun-filled days with your Travel South friends from around the Southern USA.
