Made in New Orleans

1:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Head to Mardi Gras World where you will get a behind-the-scenes look at where Mardi Gras is made.  Since 1947, their artists and craftsmen have designed and built the oldest and biggest parade floats and attractions for each Mardi Gras season, with over 500 floats built and decorated each year.  Here, you’ll get an overview of the history of Mardi Gras in New Orleans and a tour of the float den where artists work year-round to build spectacular floats and props.

On your next stop, enjoy a tour and a pint at a local New Orleans brewery.  The beer scene in New Orleans has recently seen a huge resurgence.  New Orleans is working on reclaiming its pre-Prohibition title of “Brewing Capital of the South” one micro-brewery and award-winning beer bar at a time.
