Where Everyday is Derby Day

12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

From a foal’s first steps to the final turn at Churchill Downs racetrack, you’ll learn about every facet of a Thoroughbred’s life when touring Hermitage Farm, the Kentucky Derby Museum, and Churchill Downs. This immersive experience will take you to three signature Louisville attractions and will leave you with a newfound love and appreciation for all things horseracing.

The first stop is Hermitage Farm for a visit to the Sport Horse barn. The day continues with a tour of the farm grounds to learn about the history and legacy of Kentucky thoroughbreds, and ends with a tasting experience in “Barn8”, a reclaimed thoroughbred barn turned farm to table bar and restaurant.

Then we’ll race off to the Kentucky Derby Museum for “The Greatest Race” film—an 18-minute, 360° experience that will send your heart racing and emotions soaring as you learn about the history of the Kentucky Derby, the longest running sporting event at 147 years old.

Conclude the day with a historic walking tour of Churchill Downs, home of the “most exciting two minutes in sports”, and toast with a Lily or Mint Julep—the two signature cocktails of the Kentucky Oaks and Derby.
