Genevieve (“Evie”) Begy oversees the Category team of sales representatives within the Toronto Star portfolio, which includes Travel, Entertainment, Fashion, Beauty, Hospital and Philanthropy verticalized specializations. With 10 years at Torstar, Evie has steered internal focus towards client-centric opportunities, developed around impactful content sponsorships, collaborative storytelling, digital integrations and never-been-done-before experiences. In addition to supporting the sales Category team, Evie is the Toronto Star’s Commercial Content Director and General Manager of The Kit, Torstar’s award-winning women’s lifestyle brand.

Evie is a published academic author, nominated for the Marketing Research Society’s Silver Medal Award for Paper of the Year in 2017 on the Economic Worth of Product Placement in Prime-Time Television Shows. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an Executive Education alum of the Yale Publishing Course.
