Learn about Kansas City’s Mob history dating back to the 1920s and the impact it had on shaping the culture of Kansas City. Explore the Crossroads, River Market, Columbus Park, and Garment District as well as a 30-minute stop inside Union Station. This is adventure explores the mayhem brought about by organized crime, vice, and illegal indulgences of the Prohibition Era. You’ll hear stories of gambling, prostitution, abduction, and bootlegging while seeing the sites where the notorious events happened. Once you have fully immersed yourself in mob history, you will end at Tom’s Town Distillery, named after one of the most famous corrupt political bosses, Tom Pendergast. Under Pendergast, Kansas City ignored Prohibition and emerged as the “Paris of the Plains.”. Upon conclusion of the tour, enjoy a tasting.
