Discover Virginia’s LOVEworks across the state
In Virginia, LOVE can be found in every corner of the Commonwealth. Along with the iconic “Virginia is for Lovers” slogan, Virginia is also home to more than 200 LOVE art installations around the state.
Virginia’s LOVEworks – large art pieces that spell out the word “love” – are located across the state with each destination using a creative design that reflects its location. Whether it’s in Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore, which uses oyster beds and kayaks, or Bristol in Southwest Virginia, which uses guitars and other musical instruments, each location’s LOVEwork is a representation of its community.
The LOVEworks are a fun travel destination to include in a Virginia road trip or weekend getaway and several visitors even make visiting the LOVEworks the focus of the vacation. They have become a special place in each community and are often the backdrop of visitor’s family photos, engagement spots, wedding backdrops and more. We encourage visitors to share photos on social media using the hashtag #LOVEVA.
Travelers can visit virginia.org/LOVE to find all the LOVEworks with an interactive map so they can find and visit each one.
