Broadcaster and journalist Richard Arnold celebrates 28 years on TV this year.- 26 of which have been spent as a daily fixture on breakfast television.
As the Entertainment presenter on Good Morning Britain, Richard has interviewed most of world’s biggest stars including Cher, Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, Michael Buble, Tony Bennett, Celine Dion, Dolly Parton and Mariah Carey – to name but a handful since his TV debut as a presenter on BBC2’s The Sunday Show back in 1995.
He successfully competed in the 2012 series of Strictly Come Dancing where the grace and favour of the voting public took him all the way to Wembley. Christmas 2019 saw Richard return to the Strictly ballroom for the all star Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
Richard headed to the boardroom in 2019’s Celebrity Apprentice for Comic Relief. He also competed in 2010’s Sports Relief ‘Let’s Dance…’ as Danny Zuko from Grease alongside Kate Garraway making it to that year’s final.

2019 also saw Richard star in iconic soap opera Neighbours as sinister cult leader Graham. Other TV cameos include ITV’s Footballers Wives and C4’s acclaimed drama Shameless. ITV’s Rock Rivals, BBC1’s Hustle and alongside Max Beesley in ITV drama Is This Love and Hollyoaks.
In the summer of 2021 he voiced Waffles the dog in DC League of Super-Pets and a littering pedestrian in Paw Patrol:The Movie. Other films include 2011’s crime thriller Blitz with Jason Statham and David Morrissey, Ab Fab: The Movie and as the voice of ‘Nosy Smurf’ in 2017’s Smurfs: The Lost Village.
During his tenure on GMTV from 1997 to 2010, Richard hosted The Richard Arnold Show for two series and presented ITV’s live tea-time celebrity cook-off Soapstar Superchef alongside Nicki Chapman as well as three series of Challenge TV’s successful quiz Take It or Leave It from the makers of Deal or No Deal. In 2003, Richard co-hosted Living’s daily magazine show Loose Lips with Melinda Messenger, Psychic Live and the Will On Will and Grace special with Eric McCormack.
Theatre credits include Spamalot, Mamma Mia and as reporter Perch Perkins in summer of 2023’s The Spongebob Musical.
Richard is also a freelance journalist for The Telegraph, The Express and The Sun. He will be the host of a new Mail Online podcast called The Sidebar, a weekly, irreverent round up of showbiz news with pundits and celebrity guests, launching in March 2024.
