Spain has an aging population and one of the lowest birth rates in the world. Whereas the largest generational group in the USA are Millennials, in Spain Gen X travelers make up the bulk of mid to long-haul travel. 39.2% of outbound travelers are older than 45 years old,48% have higher education, and are a relatively low 66.4% use the Internet for planning a vacation.
With the “new normal” situation we are currently facing, second-tier destinations, open spaces, and nature locations are steadily increasing demand in the Spanish market.
