Sports enthusiasts can celebrate 30 years of excellence at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum in Jackson, while history lovers can experience “Mississippi Made,” a new yearlong exhibit at the Two Mississippi Museums showcasing the people and stories that shaped the state in commemoration of America250. Music fans can join the celebration as the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi marks its 10th anniversary this year.

Looking ahead, the Vicksburg National Military Park has announced the development of a state-of-the-art interpretive center, enhancing one of the nation’s most significant historic sites. The Chickasaw Heritage Center will open its doors in early 2027, offering an immersive look at the history and culture of the Chickasaw people.

Along the coast and beyond, creativity and culture continue to flourish. The new Ocean Springs Collective, opening in spring 2026, will bring together a curated mix of a bookstore, wine shop, and dining experiences in a vibrant community setting.
